210 Cumberland Bend
TennesseeA 325-unit apartment building is slated for a MetroCenter property on which sits a building long home to 155-year-old family business Ambrose Printing. Two permit applications note Atlanta-based Wood Partners will undertake the project, to include a five-story residential building and a six-level parking garage, on a five-acre site at 210 Cumberland Bend. The building will join Wood Partners’ Alta Riverwalk in MetroCenter. Sitting adjacent to the Cumberland River Greenway and the river itself, the property set for the future building is located near a structure housing the Social Security Administration and offers a 77,457-square-foot warehouse. Nashville’s Dore Frog LLC owns the property, having paid $7.1 million for it in August 2020 (read here). The LLC seemingly is affiliated with Paul Huddleston, president of furniture rental business Please Be Seated. In late 2021, Huddleston sold a North Gulch commercial property for $29.25 million — with the sale apparently having set a local per-acre record at the time (read here). It is unclear when Wood will purchase the site. The permit applications list Atlanta-based Dynamik Design as the architect for the future building. Wood Partners will serve as the general contractor. The seeking of the permits comes as Wood Partners recently started work on Alta City Side at a site located about 2.5 miles southeast of downtown (read here). The address is 1301 Lebanon Pike. Wood Partners also is teaming with Nashville developer Nathan Lyons to undertake a project in The Nations and to offer two residential buildings with a collective 300 units (read more here). The 8.12-acre property has an address of 5901 California Ave. In addition, Wood Partners has undertaken multiple local projects (read here).
